LEO (7) loses his footing in his previously safe world when he falls through the cracks of the school system due to his slowness. He becomes an outsider and gets the feeling of being wrong.
Single mother MARIA (38) can no longer do her job as a teacher due to depression and has to complete an internship in the care sector and look after an elderly couple. What initially seems to her to be an unacceptable downgrade soon turns out to be a meaningful gain in her life. She slowly accepts her new, different life and thus herself, and when she meets the lonely Konrad, her life seems to take a happy turn.
KONRAD (51) had to give up his beloved job as a train driver many years ago, but pretends to continue working. But then one day a man falls from the sky and it seems that his life changes after all: he meets Maria and they fall in love until the illusion collides with reality.
